Old town of Split is mostly pedestrian and getting around it’s busy streets is so much easier when on bicycle. Hop on it and one moment you are at the green market stocking up on some ripen tomatoes and the next  you are at your favorite café with your bike safely locked outside. Perfect! Located on the peninsula, Split is surrounded with beaches; pebble and sandy beaches with deck chairs and busy beach bars or cliffs and rocks to jump off –why not visit them all in one day. Promenade stretches both South and West from the city center.  Bacvice, Firule, Trstenik and Znjan to the South – with busy beach bars and cafes,  funky restaurants overlooking the water. Kasjuni and Kastelet, Bene bay to the West and little secluded bays and coves perfect for you to explore on our mountain bikes. Cycling around the city

Split is an excellent starting point for various day trips. Hop on our mountain bikes and explore its surroundings.  Get on a boat to Ciovo peninsula and cycle to Our lady of Prizidnica monastery then follow the dirt road back to Trogir and the boat back to Split. Board a ferry to island of Brac and cycle along the coast or further up inland and explore its vineyards and olive groves with a spectacular views of the main land and Biokovo mountains. Both can be done as day trips from Split, so you can be back in the vibrant old town just in time for an evening cocktail!

Cycle towards Solin and  explore ruins of an old roman city of Salona, once capital of Dalmatia province, or further up the mountains towards Klis fort where Game of Thrones were filmed. Small Brac tour by bike (cca 25 km)

This could be a very nice and relaxing half day tour on the island Brac that is located on the opposite site of the city of Split. Brac may be accessed by ferry that leaves almost every two hours from the port. Everyone staying in Split for more then 2 days  could plan this tour as it’s not to demanding and You could combine it with a terrific lunch somewhere in the middle of the tour.

The plan would be to depart from Split 9AM catching a ferry from the port and coming back in the late afternoon around 6 or 7 PM. The voyage to Supetar  lasts about 1 hour and the tickets may be bought in the port just before the departure. (ferry sailing schedule – duration cca 1h).

10 Am the tour starts from Supetar direction Dol via Splitska and Postira. You may need around 1 – 1,5  hours to get Dol where You can plan a lunch at konoba Toni and do some sightseeing. After lunch You just go back to Supetar and plan 1 hour to see this small town and catch the next ferry in the afternoon.
